Crunchy oat flakes

Breakfast that all the family will enjoy – energy-boosting oat flakes with nuts and seeds, dried fruits and berries... a big variety of ingredients that you can adjust to your taste.

Your breakfast will be super healthy and incredibly tasty!

Ingredients:

130ml honey

70ml sunflower oil

300g rolled oats

100g flaked almonds

50g sunflower seeds

50g pumpkin seeds

5 tbsp sesame seeds

100g dried berries/fruit (I used dried cranberries)

50 g coconut flakes or desiccated coconut

Method:

Heat the oven to 170, 150C fan, 325°F, gas mark 3.

In a large bowl, mix the sunflower oil and honey. Add the oats, flaked almonds, sunflower, pumpkin & sesame seeds and mix everything together.

Tip the mix out on to baking sheet (or two baking sheets if necessary) and spread evenly. Place in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.

Take the baking sheet out of the oven and mix in the dried berries and desiccated coconut. Return the sheet to the oven and bake for another 15 minutes. Now the oat mix is ready, set it aside and let it cool. Transfer to an airtight container and store for up to a month.

Serve with cold milk or yogurt. To make it a little more luxurious, add sliced bananas, apples or berries – a wonderful breakfast!

Bon appétit!
